The Soft Machine extracts corks in a single motion thanks to its unique rack-and-pinion system. Once the support lever is positioned on the neck of the bottle, this ingenious mechanism keeps the spiral aligned vertically throughout the uncorking process. Removing the cork is effortless and free of breakage – all in one fluid, continuous motion.
A foil-cutter and bottle opener are built into the corkscrew’s handle. In addition, the base completes the inimitable Soft Machine without weighing it down.

In the Brass version, the Soft Machine’s stainless steel body is covered with two layers of genuine solid brass, attached and adjusted by hand. The perfect companion every day and on special occasions, Soft Machine Brass will develop a patina over time, revealing a unique feel.
