Exceptional tools, extraordinary gardens

Pinot Noir, Grenache, Sauvignon, Chardonnay. A garden in the city or out on the farm. A French or English garden. A secret garden. A garden to seek refuge. For the new Vine to Garden collection, L’Atelier du Vin has drawn inspiration from the Champagne region and the most elegant gardens in France. A morning among the vines. An afternoon in the garden. Clear blue skies, the alluring scent of flowers in bloom, a nightingale’s song, a wrought-iron table. A bright white tablecloth to enhance the effect of sparkling crystal. When poised next to a bouquet of freshly picked roses or peonies, the L’Atelier du Vin x FELCO tool pouch elegantly displays essential tools of both wine and garden.

The Bilame, the reference corkscrew since 1949

The ”Bilame”, twin blade corkscrew, extracts and leaves the cork intacts, even those whiwh are old and fragile. The cork is not pierced, and thus does not crumble. As the legend goes, the Bilame was the favourite tool of waiters in French ”bistrots”. Thanks to it, they could take a few sips from bottles and then replace corks without anyone noticing.

How to use it?

1. Slide the two blades down either side of the cork, starting with the longer one. 2. Press down, while moving the bottle opener back and forth, to insert each blade as far as possible. 3. Pull and rotate the handle to extract the cork from the neck.

The FELCO 2, the reference pruning shear since 1948

In 1948, FELCO launched a pruning shear that would change the landscape of pruning tools forever. The iconic design of the FELCO 2 makes it an ideal tool for all pruning tasks, for both professional and private users. Since then, it has embodied the know-how, quality and precision of the Swiss company. Swissmade, reliable and durable, these pruning hears are handed down from generation to generation.

How to use it? – FELCO 903 Sharpener

1. Sharpen your blade with the flat face of the FELCO 903, using light circular movements. 2. Remove the burr from the back of the blade and sharpen it, to allow perfect crossing of the cutting head.

The Tool Pouch

The finest gems of craftsmanship united in a single pouch. Whether hanging from your belt, left on a table or a stone bench, or dangling from a vine, the L’Atelier du Vin x FELCO tool pouch from the Vine to Garden collection is the perfect housing for the most iconic tools of these two illustrious brands. Widely renowned by connoisseurs, the Bilame corkscrew opens the most precious bottles without piercing the cork – no matter how old it is. The bottle opener at the top is ideal for quenching your thirst with flavored sparkling water while pruning vines or gardening. Presented here in a pure zamak version, the Bilame is paired with a gardening must-have: the FELCO 2 pruning shears from the eponymous Swiss brand. Acclaimed by the most seasoned winegrowers and gardeners across the globe, the FELCO 2 boasts unmatched cutting performance. Created in the 1940s – just like the Bilame – the all-aluminum pruning shears are made to withstand both the elements and the passage of time alike. The FELCO 903 diamond sharpening stone is the perfect finishing touch. The discreet pocket on the back offers ample space for essential gardening accessories like gloves, a spool of raffia and sunscreen.

Leather as strong as acacia and as delicate as a rose petal. Its natural and timeless vine-inspired color serves only to enhance the steel wine and gardening tools, as well as the golden gleam of the metal eyelets that adorn the leather fasteners. With an air of refinement and elegance, the Vine to Garden collection was made to accompany enthusiasts of the French art de vivre on all their poetic and artistic strolls. Designed by stylist Margherita Matticari and the L’Atelier du Vin studio, the Vine to Garden collection is the promise of a “châteaux life” that ages like a fine vintage.
