Is it possible to customize a Wine Tool or an oenology gift set from L’Atelier du Vin?

Yes, it is possible to customize certain Wine Tools and oenology gift sets by engraving initials, a short text, a design, or a logo, subject to technical feasibility. Your chosen content will be engraved on the product in our workshops in the Hauts-de-France region using high-precision laser technology. Whether on fine wood or metal, your personalized engraving will be permanent and will not fade over time.

To customize a product, you can select the typography and enter your text directly on the product page by clicking the “Customize your product” button. For any other requests, such as logos or drawings, we invite you to submit your project via our contact form so we can assess its technical feasibility.

Which products from L’Atelier du Vin can be customized?

Customizable products are marked with the label “Customizable,” clearly visible on their product page. You can also browse our dedicated customization category to discover the full range of available creations.

What are the specific features of engravings on wood and metal?

On wood, the engraving is performed using high-precision laser technology, ensuring a durable inscription. On metal, it is done with a diamond tip, providing an elegant and refined finish.

Can I add a personalized message to my order?

We offer you the possibility to include a handwritten gift message. A dedicated space in your shopping cart allows you to submit your text (excluding special characters), which will be carefully written on a card and placed inside a white envelope.
This service, adding an elegant and personal touch to your gift, is offered by L’Atelier du Vin.

Is it possible to request gift wrapping for one or more products in my order?

You can add an elegant touch to your gifts with refined gift wrapping, available as a paid option for each product (except for the Map of French vineyards). Simply tick the box “Wrap this product” before adding the item to your cart.

Is it possible to send an order without an invoice for a gift?

In the order form, please check the box “I do not wish to receive the invoice in the package.” This way, the fortunate recipient of your oenology gift will not see the amount of your order. For shipments within France, your invoice will be sent to you digitally at the provided email address, allowing you to keep it for warranty purposes if needed.

However, sending without an invoice is not possible for Colissimo shipments outside the European Union, as regulations require the invoice to be included with the package for this delivery method. For recipients outside the EU, please choose DHL shipping instead.

How can I ensure my gift remains a surprise for the recipient?

To preserve the element of surprise, simply provide your own phone number and email address when placing the order. The number provided will receive delivery notifications by SMS or email from the carrier.

However, if you enter the recipient’s phone number, they will receive information about the delivery date, along with a message indicating that the shipment is from L’Atelier du Vin.

How does the L’Atelier du Vin gift card work?

Our gift card is valid across the entire L’Atelier du Vin online boutique, and can be used for single or multiple payments. It’s very simple to use. To purchase one, visit our Gift Card page, select the desired amount, and complete your order.

The recipient of your choice will receive the corresponding gift card code by email and can spend this amount on our online boutique. They simply need to add their preferred wine tools to their online cart and enter the gift card code at checkout in the designated field.

How can I track the progress of my order?

As soon as your cart is confirmed and payment completed online, you will instantly receive an order confirmation email. When your order is shipped from our Atelier, you will receive a second email containing a tracking link.

This link allows you to follow your order in real time—from processing and shipping to delivery, whether to your home or a pickup point. Simply click on the link to see the exact status of your order at every stage of the process.

How can I obtain assistance regarding my order?

If you require assistance at any stage of your order, our dedicated team is here to support you. Whether it concerns a special request—such as a large quantity, a specific product customization, bespoke packaging, or any other requirement—we will be delighted to assist you.

How do I use my promotional code?

After validating your shopping cart and accessing the order form, you will find a field called “Promo Code.” Simply enter your promotional code there and validate it. The discount amount will be automatically deducted from your total order. You can then complete your order and proceed with payment at the promotional rate.

How can I know when an out-of-stock product will be available again?

Is the product page showing that the item you want is currently out of stock? You will find a specific field on this product page where you can register to receive an email notification as soon as this wine accessory becomes available again.

What delivery options are available at L’Atelier du Vin?

L’Atelier du Vin offers several delivery options:

  • Colissimo: For delivery without signature at the indicated address.
  • Colissimo Relais: Delivery to a pickup point in mainland France only, offering more flexibility and convenience.
  • DHL: Delivery times are displayed directly in your cart, depending on the destination country and selected service.
    • DHL Economy: An economical option for deliveries within Europe at advantageous rates.
    • DHL Standard: Standard delivery for shipments within France and internationally, with faster times than the Economy option.
    • DHL Express: Express service for fast delivery in France, Europe, and internationally, with signature upon receipt.

What are the delivery times for L’Atelier du Vin orders?

Delivery times vary depending on the chosen shipping method:

  • Colissimo:
    • Shipping within mainland France: 2 to 3 business days
    • Shipping within Europe: 3 to 7 business days
    • Outside the European Union: 8 to 15 business days
  • DHL:
    • Delivery in France: 1 to 2 business days
    • Delivery in Europe and outside the EU: 1 to 6 business days (delivery times are displayed in your cart based on the selected shipping method and destination).

I still haven’t received my order: what should I do?

If you have not received your order within the estimated delivery time, please contact our customer service via the contact form. We will investigate the shipment of your package and provide you with the necessary information regarding its status.

How can I return a product from L’Atelier du Vin and request a refund?

If you wish to return a product you ordered, you have the right of withdrawal. The return and refund procedures are explained in the “General Sales Conditions” section of our Terms and Conditions of Sale. To obtain a refund, the product you return must not have been used or damaged. It must be sent back in its original packaging and in a parcel, respecting the legal deadlines for the right of withdrawal. Some personalized or made-to-order products may not be subject to the right of withdrawal or refund. For any request related to After-Sales Service, please send us a message via our contact form, selecting the subject “After-Sales Service.” Our dedicated team will get back to you as soon as possible, giving your request the attention it deserves.

What should I do if I received a defective or damaged item, or if my order is incomplete?

At the time of delivery to your address or collection at a relay point, please carefully check that the contents of the package are neither damaged nor incomplete compared to your order. If this is the case, immediately report the issue to the delivery person by signing with a reservation and requesting the delivery person’s counter-signature so that your complaint is valid.

Also, send us a message via the contact form on our website by selecting the “After-Sales Service” option, explaining the situation and attaching a photo. Our customer service team will get back to you as soon as possible to find a solution.

If the product is defective despite no visible damage, please contact us in the same way to request warranty service.

What is the warranty on L’Atelier du Vin products?

All our high-end Wine Tools come with a 2-year warranty starting from the date of your order. During this warranty period, if a product proves defective or stops working without the cause being misuse on your part, you are entitled to have the warranty applied to have it repaired or replaced with a new model free of charge.

To do so, please send us a message via the contact form on our website, selecting the “After-Sales Service” option and explaining your case, including a photo of the wine accessory and proof of purchase attached. We will get back to you promptly to assess the situation and apply the warranty if conditions are met.

Depending on the case, returning the product at your expense may be required.

At L’Atelier du Vin, we craft our products from noble materials — whether wood, metal, leather, or glass — carefully selected for their durability. From the design stage onward, we are committed to using materials that stand the test of time. In the production of each of our premium wine accessories, we also strive to minimize environmental impact, so you can enjoy your Wine Tools for years to come while respecting the planet.

  • Most of our wooden cases and solid wood pieces come from sustainably managed forests. Our Wine Tools feature a variety of fine woods such as solid walnut, ebony, maple, and birch.
  • Our metal components — in stainless steel, brushed solid brass, or chrome-plated metal — are designed to withstand time and the high pressure exerted on the mechanisms they form.
  • Our glassware, made from mouth-blown or high-quality lead-free glass, is produced by master glassmakers whose expertise is passed down through generations. Each artisan adds a personal touch, making every one of our carafes a unique piece.
  • Our Nomad collection of Wine Tool pouches is handcrafted in untreated tawny leather by Neapolitan artisans.

How are L’Atelier du Vin products designed and manufactured?

Since 1926, L’Atelier du Vin has been designing unique Wine Tools. Each model is first sketched in our design studio in Paris by our team of designers, engineers, and ergonomics specialists. We then develop custom tooling for the precise crafting of each element — from fine wood and metal to glass, genuine leather, and other premium materials.

Once each component has been produced, the final assembly is carried out with great care. For certain models, hand-finishing is also performed. Some of our team members have been refining their expert knowledge of materials for decades.
